K
now our prices
Arrival and departure days are flexible (it is not necessary to arrive and depart on a Saturday) but we would appreciate it if you choose your dates so as not to cause gaps of 1 or 2 nights that we could not rent otherwise.

Our prices vary depending on the season and length of stay. To find out the prices, simply make a reservation simulation and the online system will display the best available rate.

The price range indicated for our rooms on the home page goes from the nightly rate for a stay of 1 night only in high season (the highest rate) to the rate for a stay of “7 nights or more” in high season (the lowest rate).

In low season (excluding school holidays in all areas, public holidays and bridges) you benefit from a reduction of €5 per night on the prices displayed. Our online reservation system automatically selects the best price offer for you based on the dates and length of your stay. Do not hesitate to run several simulations and compare.

You can pay on site with credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS), ANCV checks, cash.

In our rates, our guests aged 12 and over are considered as: Adults.

La Coustille welcomes children from 8 years old.
Please note: the price of double rooms is based on TWO people, that of the Hates Alpes Suite on THREE people. (4th person extra of €15 per day.)

I
mportant :
Our activity is that of rental of guest rooms which is different from the hotel industry and the rental of Gites by the week. In high season, our rooms are rented on a weekly basis. Our best rates are for stays of 7 nights or more. Shorter stays are however possible if there is last minute availability or, at any time, if the requested dates are registered immediately before or after an existing reservation (see online schedules).

What is a Guest Room?

These few details may seem obvious. However, we have discovered that they are not for everyone.
A Bed and Breakfast should not be confused with the rental of a Gîte. Unlike a Gîte, a Guest Room is always located in the owner’s house. A Gîte is not rented for a single night, but for a longer stay. Traditionally, rental is done by the week, but with us, we will welcome you from 1 night. Our prices are decreasing and depend on the High or Low season.

A Gîte, unlike a guest room, has a kitchen or kitchenette to allow you, if you wish, to prepare your meals and be completely independent. In a Guest House, on the contrary, the rooms are not equipped with a kitchen and it is forbidden to eat and drink in the rooms for obvious hygiene reasons. You can dine in the evening at our table d’Hôtes or we will prepare a delicious dinner for you with local, organic and breast products, as much as possible produced in our vegetable gardens. Every evening, except Wednesdays and Sundays.

In a Guest Room we prepare the room for you with the provision of bed linen and bath towels. There is no daily cleaning, unless the occupant requests it during a long stay. We allocate you the desired room as much as possible, except in cases of force majeure.

Paper documentation
We have at your disposal on site tourist documentation of the region in order to guide you towards the activities which correspond to your wishes. We can give you practical advice depending on the weather and the time of year, lend you hiking maps and inform you about the festivities and visits to be made in our beautiful valley. On our site you will already find useful information to prepare your stay with us.

Know our prices
Prices per night for our rooms vary depending on the season and length of stay. To find out the prices, simply make a reservation simulation and the online system will display the best available rate. The price per night decreases in stages depending on the length of stay and the high or low season.

Arrival and departure times
Arrival times are normally scheduled from 4:30 p.m. at the earliest and 7 p.m. at the latest unless mutually agreed.

Departure times are normally scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the latest on the day of departure.
If a delay after 7 p.m. on the scheduled arrival date has not been reported by the customer, the owner may have the right to dispose of the room in order to re-let it while retaining the right to take action against the lessee.

Is it necessary to have a car?
It will depend on what you want to do during your stay with us:

If you want to relax by the pool, recharge your batteries in our SPA, play pétanque, enjoy the peace and quiet, there is no need for a car. For the more sporty, you can stay in Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes for a good week before having exhausted everything you can do on foot: mountain hikes departing from our chalet and exploring the surrounding area up to the villages. neighbors. In high season there is a grocery store in the village and there are also restaurants on site.

On the other hand, if you want to discover all the riches of the valley and the mountains, a car will still be very useful. If you don’t have a car, why not consider renting one? You can find rentals on the internet at very advantageous rates. In these conditions, it can be a shame to deprive yourself of the freedom that the vehicle provides.

For example, if you arrive at GAP station by the PARIS AUSTERLITZ night train, you can also consult the SNCF website, they have agreements with a local company and you can reserve your rental car online. Attractive prices and possibility of providing the vehicle within a few minutes’ walk of the GAP station.

About parking?
It’s easy. We have free parking outside on our grounds and we offer free parking for your motorbikes and bicycles in our garage at night.

Our SPA
is a place of rest and should not be confused with a swimming pool. It is for this reason and for their safety that we do not accept children in the SPA.

When is the swimming pool available to our guests?
The swimming pool is open in summer on request between 12:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., outside these hours and when we are not at home, it must remain closed for security reasons (according to French law).

Do you want to come with your dog… And a cat?

For the peace of mind of our cat and our dog, we regret that we cannot accommodate our dog and cat friends in any of our rooms.

If you are allergic to cats, please take precautions.
About our Table d’Hôtes

Meals at La Coustille’s table d’hôtes consist of a starter, a main course and its vegetables, a dessert or cheese and a quarter of wine. Meal prices: €34 per adult (12 years and over). No Table d’Hôtes on Wednesdays and Sundays; we will recommend one of the good traditional restaurants in our valley.
Dinners at our Table d’Hôtes are served for groups of 4 or more guests, to be reserved no later than 48 hours in advance.

Provision of drinks and food
We offer drinks at reasonable prices at our bar on request.
Following delicate experiences, we do not accept the bringing of outside drinks and food to our Table d’Hôtes. A corkage fee of 7.50 Euros will be charged per drink/bottle if applicable.

F
or reasons of hygiene and fire safety, it is forbidden to eat, cook or plug in any electrical machine used to cook food in our rooms (kettle, coffee machine, microwave, stoves, etc.)

Cancellation insurance, instructions for use

We do not have a specific agreement with any insurance company, however, every year, we are faced with situations where travelers with little foresight are forced to cancel their trip but had not taken the precaution (despite our insistent recommendations) to take out cancellation insurance. For wanting to save a few euros, they lose their deposit. Unfortunately, no one is safe from the vagaries of life. We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance (see our general conditions).

Here is some information collected on the website of the insurer Mondial Assistance…

“Who is safe from a medical or professional problem, even a few days before departure? Who can be sure not to lose their luggage or not have an accident at their destination?

Because an emergency occurs when you least expect it, assistance and insurance contracts exist to allow you to deal with these situations.”
Some situations that don’t just happen to others…

– Miss his plane
– Get sick
– Lose your luggage
– Theft or loss of passport before taking the plane
– To lose one’s job
– To be mute
– Being summoned for an exam
– Illness, Accident, Death of a family member
– Worsening of a health condition

Because going abroad requires a minimum of precautions before departure, we advise you to take out insurance.

Example of cost of cancellation insurance for
– 7 nights for 4 people in the ***********: Around 50 to 60€
– 7 nights for 2 people in the ***********: Around €40

Insurance companies often offer several levels of insurance, it’s up to you to choose the one that covers you best
.
Not taking out travel insurance is a false economy!

The amounts paid for the deposit are not refundable. We cannot take into account all the ups and downs in our visitors’ lives. If you are forced to cancel your stay with us for one of the reasons covered by your cancellation insurance, then the sums you have paid will be reimbursed by your insurance.

H
OW TO ENSURE A TRIP WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE?
We are several couples of friends traveling together, how can we be insured?
Important: All participants in the trip must be registered on the same insurance contract.
If for a reason covered by the insurance, participants cancel their trips, the others have the right to cancel if and only if the number of remaining participants is less than or equal to 2 participants.
Check with your insurance to find out how it manages traveling with others.

Please note that the cost of insurance depends on the amount of the trip (and not the number of participants).

We advise you to insure yourself for your trip and in particular the transport part.

All insurance must be taken out directly with the insurer of your choice.
