La Coustille
This large chalet, converted into a guest house for around twenty years, offers 5 large comfortable bedrooms.
Each has a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
View of the garden, village side or the mountains, valley side, depending on the room.
La Coustille has several common areas, indoors and outdoors (lounges, sauna, jacuzzi, garden, swimming pool).
Our goal: for everyone to feel good, like at home.
Sharing with our visitors a meal, advice, a conversation, a joke… gives meaning to our project.
In all simplicity and conviviality.
We will take the time to advise you as best as possible on the activities, hikes, visits, etc. possible in the region or to put you in contact with local mountain professionals (mountain leaders, guides, etc.).
You will find flyers, maps or guides available to prepare for hikes.
La Coustille is located in St-Léger-les-Mélèzes
In the heart of the Champsaur valley in the Hautes-Alpes.
The center of the traditional village-resort of St-Léger-les-Mélèzes is 300m away, the ski slopes 400m away.
The proximity of the Ecrins National Park and the upper Champsaur valley make hiking or other mountain activities easy. These agricultural or wilder spaces are quickly accessible from us.
Gap is 25 minutes by car, Lake Serre-Ponçon 35 minutes. Marseille is 2h20 from us.
By the way, what does Coustille mean?
The word COUSTILLE comes from the Old French word COSTE, the coast or slope.
The “Coustille” is a diminutive which therefore designates a small slope or a hill. Indeed, it goes down a bit to get to us!
